About Lauren...

After 13 incredibly rewarding years as a nanny and personal assistant, I found myself needing a change in direction. After a 3 year stint as a home-based baker and cake decorator, my love for all things food led me to enroll in culinary school in the fall of 2015. Faced with the dilemma of loving to cook but not loving the restaurant workload, I decided to explore other job prospects in the culinary field. After meeting and talking with other personal chefs, I discovered that I could find the perfect bridge from working as a nanny to working as a chef, by becoming a personal chef.

My love of cooking and caring for families drove me to create Homemade Personal Chef Service. I want to continue to help busy families by providing delicious and healthy meals for those who love homemade food but don't have the time to make it happen.

I am familiar with many types of diets including Keto, Paleo, Whole-30, vegan, vegetarian, low-fat, low-FODMAP, gluten-free, and low-allergen/allergy-free diets.

A little more about me:

I have been a personal and private chef since 2016.

In 2019 I received my Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from ACC.

I have been certified as a Food Protection Manager through ServSafe.

I love cooking all types of cuisine, especially when I can get my hands on authentic ethnic ingredients. In my free time, I'm often found at an ethnic grocery store searching for rare and interesting foods.

And if I'm not at an ethnic grocery store, you can usually find me in the Texas Hill Country enjoying a glass of wine at one of the many fantastic wineries in the area!
